Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Armenian midfielder for Inter Milan, has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a knee injury.

The 28-year-old was replaced by Ivan Perisic in the team's match against Napoli on Sunday and it is expected that he will be sidelined for at least the next two games.

Mkhitaryan has been a key player for Inter this season, providing assists and scoring goals as they look to challenge for Serie A titles. However, his absence could be a blow to their chances of success.

Without Mkhitaryan, Inter have struggled defensively and offensively, with the team conceding six goals in their last four matches.

Inter coach Antonio Conte has acknowledged the importance of Mkhitaryan and has called for his return as soon as possible.

"The situation is very difficult," Conte said after the game against Napoli. "He's a player who's really important for us, but we need to wait until he's fit."

Despite the setback, Conte remains confident that his side can still compete for major honours.

"We have to keep fighting," Conte added. "We're a good team, we've got quality players, and we'll try to win every game."
